Historically I have always given my charitable donations to the Goodwill. But a recent article I read on both Goodwill and Salvation Army talking about which is better has brought a change of enlightenment to myself. The article pointed out goodwill’s CEO brought in nearly $750,000 last year. I am all for a comfortable lifestyle and taking care of your needs but when it comes to nonprofit or charitable organizations that is completely out of line. The Salvation Army returns $.86 of every dollar they bring in back into the community for programs and helping underprivileged individuals. Something Goodwill just doesn’t come close to. So when you’re ready to go thrift shopping again think about The Salvation Army

Just dropped off a donation and the elderly man accepting them was so rude! I asked where should I leave my donation? He said “where do you think? Take a guess”, i just didn’t wanna leave then on the floor which is why I asked that question. As soon as I was about to place my bags around the rest of the donations he snapped at me and said “just give em to me!” and almost yanked them out of my hands! Wth dude
