I have been going to this Speedway since I started working in West Babylon almost two years ago. On 4/25/16, when leaving my job I notice my tire was more than a little flat. I had driven to the Speedway to put some much needed air in my tire. When I arrived I realized I did not have quarters for the machine. The machine along with the vacuum where both taped off. But I had used the Air machine just last week that way, when the pleasant female attendant told me just the vacuum was not working. So I went to ask the attendant for quarter for the dollar I had. He very abruptly told me The machine was not working or did I not see the tape around the machine. I told him I had used the machine last week and that the other attendant said it was just the vacuum that was not working. He laughed at me and told me he could not help me. I asked again for the four quarters needed and I would take my chances. It was around 6pm, and I live 35 miles away. I needed the air. He laughed again and said Oh well, I do not have quarters to give you I asked seriously, you have NO quarters? He said Nope with a smile on his face. I turned to walk away and came back to ask his name. When I turned around he was laughing again. Pointed to the scribble on his badge and said his name was Daniel. This older, grayed hair attendant seem to take great pleasure in seeing me in distress over my situation.I had to drive two mile to the CISCO by the service road, where there the attendant was happy to give me change and had quarters lined up by his window just for that purpose. Their gas was cheaper also. I hope Daniel and Karma meet sometime soon, only I hope that there will be someone available to help poor Daniel. Maybe next time he will choose to pay it forward. Sadly, I will not be using Speedway again for fear that should I need assistance again, I will be laughed at and turned away.
