I made reservations for dinner this evening, drove 30 minutes to get there only to be told that there was a mistake, and that it would be at least 45 minutes. Pretty lame on a rainy Friday night.Ended upbhaving a great meal and Blueberry sour at Clemson Bros instead. Will never go to Schatzis again

Great food. Amazing atmosphere. Indoor or outdoor dinning in the heart of Newpaltz.Wait staff is super friendly and attentive.I had the Bier Cheese Soup as an appetizer. Super cheesy. You know its absolutely delicious when you put the spoon down to drink right from the bowl.For my main, I had the cheddar bratwurst double with German potato salad. Absolutely amazing, the bacon crumbles and beer cheese was absolutely delicious slathered over the cheddar brat and then to have it atop a pretzel bun really brought it to the next level. Like a classy German hotdog.Great selection of beer too.There’s alot more on the menu than German food too! So definitly check out Schatzi’s for some great food, and solid vibes.
