Live in Saranac Lake and I used to love coming to this station. The staff WAS friendly and they had a huge selection of gas station goods/beer compared to what we have in town. Last night CHRIS refused to sell me and my husband beer. I was so confused and he claimed he knew what we were up to but wouldn’t explain himself at all. I guess another person walked into the store when we were there and CHRIS thought we were together and buying beer for them? I had stopped by the store just 3 days before and purchased beer from Chris, he has been a cashier when I was there over 10 times. I know he has to do his job and working the night shift at a gas station gives you your fair share of odd situations but we felt singled out and discriminated against. There were other people in the store at this time too, why us? The other people in the store also thought CHRIS was being out of line. Overall just made us embarrassed, uncomfortable, and confused in our own town.
