I called to confirm they had the wine I wanted, and asked them to hold it for me. They told me to place to order online and that would ensure nobody else purchased them. I did so. I drove 20 minutes to the store, waited 20 minutes in the store while they told me they would find them. Then they told me they didn’t have them and that I could substitute another wine or cancel my order. I cancelled and drove 20 minutes home. Now I have no wine, lost an hour of my life and have to watch my credit card to make sure they actually cancel the transaction. No offer of a discount or credit, or even a ‘sorry you wasted your time.’ There are so many place to buy wine, easy to cross this one off the list.** If you found two right after I left, you could have delivered them or texted me. You could have offered a discount on something else. I am in a consumer facing business and that is what I would have done. Just my thoughts. **

I placed an order online for 12 bottles of wine and picked up by myself from store. There was no issue at all. I emailed them my ETA and they had it ready for me. The wines were as I ordered. I enjoyed good wines at decant price. Their website is very slow but have good amount of information of wines. Some of the negative reviews here are unfair in my opinion. On the website, they made it very clear that some of wines are not available in their inventory that they need 2-3 days for pick up/shipping. For those wines, It’s indicated well that you can’t miss it.

I’ve bought many cases of wine online and out of state from places far and wide. I shop around and in many instances, for what I drink, Rye Brook offers either the best price or close enough such that it’s worth shelling out to know I’ll get the product and not have an issue. I’ve never had to hound them or inquire after an order. Everything arrives well packaged and I’ve yet to get a tainted bottle and shipping is prompt. I’ve probably used them a dozen times the past year with no mishaps. I unconditionally recommend them to friends and even the UPS driver who drops the order off for me is buying from them.
