Currently during COVID only open 12-5 on weekends by volunteers, this is not a typical museum. There are few retired/rescued subway trains/buses outside to view. More in the garage under repair. Some history/pictures in the gift shop. That was about it!You can tell the resource is limited and the volunteers are devoting. It’s certainly satisfying for a track fan kid and even for adults just knowing what to expect.The trolley goes along the Hudson river between Maritime Museum and the Kingston Point Park. It was a relaxing 20 minute ride.

Good museum the volunteers are knowledgeable and nice. Try to avoid Mark Wolodarski, he’s always starting drama with employees and visitors alike. If you can avoid him it’s best. He ruins the nice trains and buses by bringing drama into it. I know others in the transit community can attest to this. Otherwise great museum. Would be 5 stars without Mark.
