Our Family has known Mr Don Applegate for many decade’s, working with his Father and Uncles as our Family was the care takers & grave diggers.Floyd was second born out his siblings. He started working at a very young age in small town restaurant USA age 14.Floyd was a very humbled person, and loving Father who loved his Family so much. The Dash Poem I read of a man who stood to speakAt the funeral of a friendHe referred to the dates on the tombstoneFrom the beginning…to the endHe noted that first came the date of birthAnd spoke the following date with tears,But he said what mattered most of allWas the dash between those yearsFor that dash represents all the timeThat they spent alive on earth. And now only those who loved themKnow what that little line is worthFor it matters not, how much we own,The cars…the house…the cash. What matters is how we live and loveAnd how we spend our dash. So, think about this long and hard. Are there things you’d like to change? For you never know how much time is leftThat can still be rearranged. If we could just slow down enoughTo consider what’s true and realAnd always try to understandThe way other people feel. And be less quick to angerAnd show appreciation moreAnd love the people in our livesLike we’ve never loved before. If we treat each other with respectAnd more often wear a smile,Remembering this special dashMight only last a little whileSo, when your eulogy is being readWith your life’s actions to rehash…Would you be proud of the things they sayAbout how you spent YOUR dash?Came across this poem in a poetry boxBy: Linda Ellis

My experience with this funeral home was nothing but positive if that can be possible at the time of a love ones death. Marty Ciaccia was very helpful and comforting at the this time. He made this difficult time much easier to get through. He was very attentative to myself and my children. He was professional yet made it easy to relate to and made us feel comfortable to ask any question. Marty was quick to reply to our telephone calls or e-mail inquiries. We were glad to see him the day of the funeral as again he put us at ease. I would not hesitate to recommend this funeral home.
