I love the staff here, they are very nice and helpful. I came in for contacts and prescription glasses. Had no idea how to use contacts because I squirm when I put something by my eyes. The staff was very patient with me though and they let me keep practicing until I was able to put them in and out. For the glasses I asked their opinion on the ones I should get and they helped me pick the ones I love (which I get a lot of compliments for). Great experience. Also just saved a lot of money with a deal on their contacts recently. Love this store!

Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this particular store. I’ve gotten glasses here several times over the years, my family as well. The last experience was perfect approximately 2 years ago. Great eye exam, perfect prescription no issue. The problem is ALWAYS at the end, picking out frames and trying to be up sold on extras. I’ve always found a decent pair of frames that are allowed me thru my insurance, but not this time. I have the ugliest frames that couldn’t have cost Cohens more than $20 yet they charge my insurance up to $350, not cool. There were a pair of Nike branded frames there that I felt fit my face better but at a marked up price of $500 (online I found them for a high of $160) I wasn’t going to pay the difference. Who doesn’t price match in today’s economic world? (Cohens doesn’t apparently) I don’t want to hear about knockoffs or warranties because ALL of these frames come from the same manufacturer in Italy. I had left a message and an email about all this and never heard from anyone. When I went to pick up my glasses, I mentioned to the manager there how I felt and she was nice and respectful, but told me Cohens doesn’t price match. I told her that the frames I had to pick were ugly, don’t fit my face well and weren’t sitting on my nose correctly. In fact they keep slipping down the sides of my nose. I was told they didn’t have different nose pads to try and make them fit better, what eye glass place doesn’t have different size nose pads to make their customers glasses fit better? I’m very disappointed, I won’t be back. I got a call from another manager there yesterday and I honestly don’t see what they can do for me at this point, but if something should change I’ll update my review. In the meantime I would recommend you buy everything online and find another shop to have the prescription fitted, maybe ask if the shop has materials to do the small repairs or nose pad changes? STAY AWAY! They try and charge you for items that my insurance will pay for! When I caught them they gave me the excuse that they never billed my insurance? So I SHOULD PAY? Who thinks this is silly? I do! For $50 they lost a customer 4 times over.

Although my experience the day of my appointment went great! The staff was so helpful and sweet! it is today when I need my full prescription (which I legally am allowed to have) they state that they cannot give it to me because they cannot be held liable for any errors. Here’s some pointers on that:1. THE PRESCRIPTION SAYS THAT ON THE BOTTOM.2. LEGALLY I am allowed to have it3. Extremely UNETHICAL to withhold this information because you don’t want people to purchase glasses elsewhere.4. SCAM.Update: the manager called me and gave me my full prescription without any arguing after this review was posted. It just sad that these are the lengths we have to go to get stuff done. Changing from 1 star to 2
