I am quite sure at the management level (middle and above), there is an understanding that the customer base is a limited resource that needs to be cared for. The downside of Warehouse type stores like Lowe’s & Home Depot, are that there is no back room area to stage merchandise and/or move pallet type goods etc. The end result is that I stood waiting while a couple of employees leaned on a flexible barrier and talked about their plans for Bitcoin purchases for more than 10 minutes. They were providing a service of some sort, by keeping people out of the aisle while a lift driver in the next I’ll over moved a pallet of lumber. Some statistician needs to work out the best time for these types of moves. Early morning or late evening when the store is nearly clear and especially not on Fridays or weekends would be ideal. I do understand the liability issue of moving overhead materials but the difficulty in shopping these stores especially during the day is exacerbated by these moves. Some planning and moving of the overhead materials at less prohibitive times would be greatly appreciated. The second issue that I’m running across more so with Home Depot than anyone else is the lack of available carts as they are piled up with prepped orders for customers that are coming at some point down the road. Secondarily on that issue is the lack of ability to move goods specially 16 ft lumber etc down an aisle that has become a ridiculous obstacle course! With all the brick and mortar stores closing at a breakneck pace, I’m just thinking Home Depot could purchase or rent space and an adjacent building that would handle the storage and pick up needs without further pissing off their in-store customers. I will end with in my less than humble opinion as a precursor to all above comments! My time IS money! I have begun shopping at Lowe’s because their function in this regard is much better than is being executed at any home depot.

It was easy to find somebody to help me, but when I checked out they called for somebody to help me bring my load to my truck, but had to wait 5 minutes and nobody showed up. I went outside and found somebody else, they put it in my truck, but I was required to tie it down myself. I was all alone, and I am a disabled woman. Prices are a little high for my liking, but not too bad overall.
