Chris, the owner, was incredibly helpful. He helped me fix my guitar. And even offered me some tips on how to care for it. He also was willing to sell me individual strings when he saw I was missing some. Lastly, he even sold me individual guitar picks instead of making me dish out more cash for a whole pack like guitar center would. I’m only giving four stars, however z because Chris didn’t tell me he’d charge me $20 when he offered to help me with my guitar.

After 12 years of playing the same acoustic guitar, it felt a little…off… in ways I couldn’t put my finger on. Didn’t seem to ring the way it used to and the action was higher than I remembered.I almost bought a new guitar, but then decided to take it in for a set-up instead. The folks at IGW did a really nice job making it look, play, and sound like new. They found some little issues I never would have noticed that were impacting the tone and the action – and put the magic back in it. The joy of playing is back.I got really nice detailed notes from the guitar tech and the cost was super reasonable. If I buy another high end guitar this year, it won’t be because mine isn’t playing right – It will be because I want to go back and shop at IGW.
