I called and told them why the mistake happens they have family size wrong.

This is a terrible insurance company. My doctor prescribed me a vaccination for typhoid that costs about 5$ elsewhere in the world and should cost about 50$ in the US. They refused to cover it. The out of pocket cost in the US is 9000 without insurance. The goodrx app negotiates this cost down to 100$ for you without insurance. They are willing to play with your life for literally a couple of bucks.Edit in response to MVP offer for me to continue to assist me:I should note I have already spent so much time on the phone trying to resolve this. I first called on the weekend and after being put on hold talked to a nurse who was like we’ll get this all sorted out when our something office opens on Tuesday. You’ll receive a call from them. There was no call from them. I called again Tuesday and the next agent was just like we refuse to cover all elective travel. I asked if there was anyway to appeal this and the agent said no why would we cover this. I am assuming MVP’s logic for this is what happens out of the country they will not have to pay for anyway so why would they prevent it. The irony is that if I got typhoid on last week of my trip and returned to the US the bill for them could be hundred thousand dollar hospitalization that could have been prevented with what should be cheap vaccine. But this is status quo for healthcare in the U.S. Crazy that Goodrx can be so much better than actually having insurance in many cases.
Honest Thoughts
Services are better than what I received when I was with Blue Cross Blue Shield. I hope I can always have a provider as proactive and accountable as this place.
