We visited the Eleanor Roosevelt home the last day of COVID restrictions and therefore couldn’t go into the home, but the a Park Ranger gave us a very detailed description of site and Eleanor’s time there. The grounds are very well maintained and it is a calming place to spend a few hours and we hope to return when the site is fully open.

Beautiful spot to walk around. There are a few nice hiking trails. There are a few places to sit and relax as well. When the flowers are in bloom it’s beautiful. The grounds are well maintained. It’s a great place for an easy walk.

It is very beautiful, peaceful, relaxing and lovely here. The Roosevelt’s cottage tour is closed because of Covid, but a walk around this piece of Heaven on earth makes a statement of how down-to- earth the Roosevelt’s were and just how much they loved nature. Just taking a stroll on the grounds makes visiting worth seeing.
