I visited the store with my mom this afternoon as I am a micro influencer on social media and was in search of new attire for my videos.Although I was apprehensive because of a past experience, my mom insisted I check out this location. We spent a total of 30 minutes in the store looking at the merchandise- putting outfits together amongst one another (my mom and I) and not one employee greeted us, asked us if we needed assistance or even cracked a smile. Instead- they insisted on playing eye tag with me a couple of times. The closest customer service experience I received was from a gentlemen which I assume to be Lost Prevention; because as I was bent down looking for my size in a sports bra- we made eye contact instantly he looked away and made a slow stroll to another area of the store- weird. We spent a total of $327- which is easily doable in Athleta- but once we were checking out, we made this experience known to the cashier, and all she said was Oh okay..Now I know we (as human beings) should be sensitive and patient with stores and employees whilst still in a pandemic. But in my opinion, the lack of customer service and positive customer experience was a CHOICE made by the employees– not a mere occurrence due to high volume/guidelines.I only hope this isn’t the culture of the brand but this has definitely made it clear to me that it will be a very rare occurrence to shop here again. In fact- I’ll be sure to return everything tomorrow.Horrible.
