Last night my family went to cracker barrel for dinner. I informed the hostess of our party and her response was I don’t know if we can accommodate you in a rude manner. There were 5 adults and 2 babies (a 3 month old and a 2 month old). I didn’t understand they could not accommodate us seeing how we have gone there during covid before but we did not have the babies yet.. she goes I have to ask my manager I don’t want him mad at me. She comes back 30 seconds later and was like we can accommodate you. I was livid at the experience. The way the hostess approached it was wrong. There was a little bit of a wait which was fine. But saying that I don’t know if we can accommodate you is kind of like saying we don’t want your business. The waitress we had was decent and the food has gotten better since the last time we went. So we are pleased with the service we received after the experience we had!

First experience tasting this restaurant. Atmosphere of the store and restaurant was good. Food was delicious and inexpensive. Service was friendly and quick. Have finally found a much better pit stop for road trips. Was surprised that they even sell Moxie cola and Australian Bundaberg Ginger beer. On our way back to NY we had to stop by again to this place.

While the food here wasn’t particularly good, the price was super cheap and there were a ton of sides. The meatloaf was quite plain tasting and needed more interesting flavors as well as more of the tomato sauce on top. The turkey strips were a bit salty but otherwise fine.My favorite side was the fried apples, tasted like the filling inside of apple pies.Fun experience overall, especially since you get to shop in the store for a bit before getting your meal.
