Good selection, looks nice, and great location.

It really is just a larger convenient store, price hike included.

Employees looked at me and shrugged their shoulders 10 minutes before closing.

Came to the store at 9:50, waited there in front of locked doors until 9:57 while knocking. Employees looked at me and shrugged their shoulders 10 minutes before closing. One appeared to mouth F— you to while walking past me. Specifically the girl with short purple hair. Service is completely unsatisfactory and clearly they do not care about their customers.

BLUF: Be prepared to pay AT LEAST 10% more for your purchases, the proof is in my pictures. This Target was clearly made to service the Texas State student community. It’s selection features many more grab-and-go type food items than a regular Target. It’s beer and wine selection is stocked with basic fruity drinks like hard seltzers and the cheapest brews you can find, at high volume. Most housewares are what you would find in a college dorm. Decor wise it’s very stylish, doesn’t quite feel like a Target, but doesn’t feel like a small local shop either. They tried blending the two, and it works. The staff is really friendly too. There are more self checkouts than registers, of which there are only two. It really is just a larger convenient store, price hike included. I shop the large Target in San Marcos regularly and was appalled by the price increase on almost everything I saw. For examples I uploaded photos of some frequently purchased items I know were overpriced. If I were buying any more than $10 worth of merchandise, spend the 70¢ in gas to go to the big Target and buy what you need. You’ll save a lot of money.

1 out of every 10 reviews are worthwhile, well thought, or even genuine.A 5 star establishment should be the BEST experience imaginable; and with so many bland 5star reviews EVERYWHERE, I’m left to believe 9 out of 10 reviewers lack any imagination whatsoever. So, since this store lacks an unimaginable experience, I dock 1 star. 4stars…Also, as someone else has stated, the price gouging doesn’t make up for the convenient store location. So I’ve docked another star. 3stars.As of now, there are no 2 or 3star reviews, which is clearly misleading.Reviews these days lack integrity. How can everything be either 5stars or 1star? Because Americans lack imagination and focus, that’s how.Clearly this is a 3star establishment. Buckle up buckaroos.
