This continues to be our favorite Hill Country winery (and we’ve visited quite a few!). Recently we brought some family with us for an absolutely fabulous tasting with Barbara, the Tasting Room Manager. We are wine-club members of Lewis and could not recommend it more. We started coming here in 2019 and fell in love with the fabulous wine and beautiful property. After coming every month or 2 we started having conversations with the owners Doug & Duncan (who were always on property and interacting with visitors) and then fell in love with the environment fostered at Lewis. Additionally, all events planned for members and patrons alike are well executed with live music and tasty food. If you have any questions, no problem! I’ve always received a response from Jana and the rest of the team when emailed about upcoming activities on-site. As a final thought – one of my favorite things about Lewis (besides the amazing wine) is the lack of commercialization. A ton of Fredericksburg and Johnson city is covered with tourists and large groups ruining the aesthetic and experience on site, but Lewis has always been a bit off the path and more personal with their experiences and I’ve never ever felt lost in the crowd when visiting. 10/10, highly recommend.
