Prescription was called in to this Pharmacy by error. When I called to try to transfer it to the other Publix Pharmacy the girl on the phone told me my doctor had to call to transfer. When I told her it wasn’t a narcotic and that I’ve transferred prescriptions before, she refused to do the transfer. Called my other Publix Pharmacy and they had no problem transferring it for me. Almost had to go without my medication because of this.

I was at the pharmacy before they opened at nine and when the pharmacist (Randy) got to me she said that the prescription was called in twice for the same medication but with different strengths and that she would need to contact the doctor to find out which medication to fill. She also mentioned that she needed to get her system up and running because they had just opened and that she would call me when she had gotten off the phone with the doctor and the prescription was ready. Again, this was at 9 o’clock. At 2 o’clock I called and asked if the prescription was ready. The woman I spoke to was not Randy but was asking random questions while I was still on the phone and Randy replied that she had left two voicemails with the doctor and they hadn’t called back. The woman on the phone agreed that maybe I should call to find out which medication needed to be filled. I called and spoke with someone and had no issues getting a hold of anyone. They informed me that they spoke to a pharmacist at Publix at 10:45 and it was logged in their database that they had told them what strength medication needed to be filled. I called Publix pharmacy back and I’m told that they just got off the phone with them and they will have the prescription ready soon. Absolutely ridiculous! Someone dropped the ball here and my guess would be the pharmacist Randy. I never received a text or phone call that my prescription was ready. And I’m pretty positive that she lied about not getting in touch with anyone at the doctors office and had just forgotten. Very unprofessional and will not be filling my prescriptions here ever again!
