… Lots of nice stuff to buy. Didn’t care for the live snake even if it was behind glass. I wouldn’t even go over by that side of the store. Suggest to move it out of there …

It’s a cool place to stop and check out ! The fudge is great and a variety to choose from, some even unique flavors. The salad and rolls (14 I had personally with butter) was the highlight of my meal. The salad dressing (blue cheese) was spot on. The yeast rolls were tender and very tasty ! I had the bone in rib eye, I was a little disappointed in the quality, it had some tough spots in it that was just junk and a few bites was stringy…it was cut considerably thinner than I was expecting from a place calling its self such a name… it was grilled with nice flavors but was thin enough that the cook had a tough time with my rare request. The baked tater was a little on the smaller side and the loaded part ($ 1.00 extra) consisted of 2 plastic containers, 1 shredded cheese with bacon bits also in it and 1 container of sour cream…. butter is on the table in 1/2 x 1 packets. I liked the waiters and waitress dressed more in a western style outfits that helped with the atmosphere and the inside of the place has an old days saloon kinda feel to it… it has a gift shop to

The wait… is long… but the food is amazing!!! It’s so so good!! There’s so much to do while you wait too so it wasn’t bad! The limo is fun, not quite what I pictured (2 rows of seats instead of an open back with seats around the edge) but it was still cool and it meant we didn’t have to drive!!! Watching people eat the 74oz steak was cool too!
Flip Out
If you’ve ever driven through Amarillo on I-40, you’ve probably seen The Big Texan. This Little Flip Out’s first visit and he really enjoyed the decor and whole atmosphere. We started with the fried pickle spears and they also brought out a basket of fresh, hot rolls. We really enjoyed the pickle spears, and the flavors went well with ranch dressing. The rolls were absolutely delicious. I had the prime rib lunch with a side salad and cowboy beans. I really enjoyed the meal as a whole. Mrs. Flip Out had a grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad and enjoyed it as well. The kids meal of chicken strips and fries came out in a cowboy hat for Little Flip Out which was a neat feature to add to a kids meal. There’s also a gelato, sweets, and coffee bar to get your caffeine and sweet tooth fix before getting back on the road. A large gift shop is on the side. You’ll have fun at this iconic Texas stop.
