Terrible service starts at the top – and Mike (if I am correct), the manager of this store is exactly who sets the tone. I am involved with a non-profit organization that has spent thousands of dollars with this store location. Never again. Recently, while picking up an order, one of my colleagues went through the painstaking procedure – again – of showing the store how to follow their own policy for non-profit sales, wherein no sales tax is charged, per the law. The party city employee made a mistake, and charged tax. When my colleague caught this mistake, she returned to the store a few days later. She was met with a rude, unhelpful attitude from the manager. She was completely cool and flexible, offering to come back at THEIR convenience so they could fix THEIR mistake. The manager huffed and puffed, took personal phone calls, saying no, there is some lady here and I gotta deal with this mess and generally whined like a baby when expected to actually manage the store’s mistake. My colleague again offered to return later, since the (mis)manager was crying in his sippy cup over the long line that was forming due to having to right his own wrong and actually perform managerial and customer service duties, at which the manager said oh, no we are doing this RIGHT NOW. Look, when you gotta go to a dump like this, you gotta. They have a market cornered. But really – drive 20 more minutes to another store. Read the other reviews about the way this gem treats his employees and customers, and you be the judge. As for us, we will take thousands of dollars of business per year elsewhere, and I will be escalating my complaint to corporate/management, although it’s clear from the previous reputation of the company, they probably won’t give a rip.

The staff was very friendly, super accommodating and pleasant to interact with. When sometimes I don’t really wish to interact with people because the average person tends to be rude in customer service, it’s a welcomed change to have the staff be the opposite and provide a smooth and pleasant shopping experience. That is what really makes people want to return to a particular business.
