I never knew how big of a role that the city if Huntsville, Alabama played in the space race. All of the exhibits were very informative and we’ll laid out. We spent 2 hours touring the whole museum. They do offer several interactive experiences, but you do have to pay extra. The $25 entrance fee, for the basic ticket, is very reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

I finally decided to visit this place! Very cool and extremely interesting. I was walking in awe most of the time because it’s incredible to see the rockets up close and read about the history of space exploration. Something that never seizes to amaze me is that there are so many people who one day decided to be rocket scientist, engineers and astronauts and have dedicated their lives to this field. There are so many details that go into building a rocket that it literally takes a village to make it a reality. I have nothing but respect for people who work in this field.Honestly, you could spend an entire day at this place. I didn’t have a chance to go to the movie theater that’s in the Saturn V Hall, but that’s on the list for next time. I did go to the Intuitive Planetarium which was amazing. I did get teary-eyed a few times because it was beautiful and it was one of those moments when you realize how vast the universe is and how small we are in comparison to what’s out there. They have good food at Mars Grill, the staff at the entire facility is very polite, and all of the areas are clean. U.S. Space & Rocket Center is a place that everyone should visit regardless of age because it is interesting and educational.

This was a fun day activity. It didn’t live up to the hype that I was expecting though. Several interactive items were broken or had pieces missing. It just didn’t seem like they put the full effort to keep the place 100%. Definitely make sure you schedule a full day to go through and see everything though. we still enjoyed our time here and I would suggest people make the stop if you’re interested but if it’s not something you REALLY want to do. You probably won’t regret skipping this. There were some fun facts about a lot of the items and history of rocket development though that I enjoyed. Our favorite thing was the planetarium presentation (highly recommend you watch one) and the g-force ride which was free. It was the best centrifugal force ride we’ve been on.
