I love Madewell for their leather goods. Bought two pair of boots from them, both lasted me years, high quality at reasonable price. Plus sometimes they have good promotions.The atmosphere here in the store is relaxing and inviting. If you’re just walking around window shopping, staff here won’t bother you with a lot of “engage the costumer” awkward questions. But when you need help they are always ready to help. Really appreciate that.

I love the quality of Madewell and have bought many items both online and at various stores in Houston. I was so disappointed with my experience in this store a few days ago. My birthday is this month, and I wanted to use my $25 birthday reward from Madewell at this store.For some reason, the discount wouldn’t go through and the total rang up incorrectly, and I had to stand in line for about 15 minutes while the cashier tried different things to make it work. She was nice and accommodating, but the discount continued to not work, and she got her manager, Rachel, involved. The manager was very sarcastic and combative. She deeply sighed when she pulled out a literal calculator, shoved her employee out of the way and tried to play it off as a joke, and she asked me rudely what is the problem? I don’t see one I had to break down the total of my order in my calculator for her to agree to fix the problem. When she finally got the discount to work, she sarcastically said happy birthday and I wished I would have just ordered online.Overall, I understand that sometimes systems are old and don’t work perfectly. But there is no need to take out your frustration on the customer. I was deeply disappointed with this level of customer service especially with this being a special occasion.

This is part of J. Crew so lots of denim, clean lines and preppy. Great jewelry and I love their shoes. Leather and canvas bags are reasonably priced and monogramming is free, while your wait.Sales staff was super friendly and helpful on our visit. No pressure, just very competent. Dog friendly too!
