I went by there to find out the cost to mail something simple 9 x 6 envelope with papers enclosed. I was given a price of $4.36 to mail it. I asked what the store store was (Surcharge) and the lady did not know. I left and did not mail it there. I took it to the post office downtown Decatur, Alabama and the Total cost was only $2. What kind of extra charges is this place charging?

I’ve never once been asked what I am shipping ever by any company. I was attempting to ship some very valuable items to my brother in Ca. today and was asked what I was shipping, I stated personal items nothing hazardous. She asked me to describe the item…. that’s how they figure out what packages to steal I guess. because I’ve had plenty of packages go missing in the mail. if it’s hazardous sure I understand but it’s not and not on the prohibited list. so they don’t need to know. I’ll take it to UPS or Fedex next time directly.
