Met a client at his favorite seafood place in Corpus. Had never been sodas looking forward to it.I had to start off ordering the calamari. Staple appetizer to help me judge a seafood restaurant. This order was different than any I had ordered. I am used to the old ring…but these were huge strips. Almost looked like chicken fingers. Oh so good….lightly breaded. Came with a very tasty dipping sauce.Plates came pretty quickly. I ordered the fried fish and shrimp platter. 3 huge shrimp, a very large piece of flounder, nice size serving of seasoned fries. I am not a coleslaw fan so I opted for extra hushpuppies. Everything was amazing. Again…shrimp and fish were lightly breaded but with solid crunchyness. Hush puppies were small, but very flavorful. Fries were really good.Came with a mayo based tarter sauce, which I LOVED!!My client ordered the parmesean crusted flounder with asparagus and rice pilaf. I ALMOST ordered that as well, and man did it look delicious.Only thing keeping this from being a solid 5* for me was the scenery was blah… It sits in T head so I expected a better view of water. Inside was much worse. Drab and dreary…but the food kept it at a hard 4*.Can’t wait to take the family.
