The staff at Gadsden Eye are always very thorough and nice. I have been going to them for years, and except for the dilation of the eyes :), its always a GREAT experience. I find Dr. Hill to be very informative and takes the time to explain everything that he is doing to me. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyone!

I will never go back to this office. My exam was performed almost entirely by an assistant rather than the doctor himself. I explained to the assistant I was having car trouble with my brand new vehicle and needed to go straight to the service dept when I left there, and asked that I not be dilated for that reason. I overhead her asking a doctor in the hall, and he said well I know what her doctor will say, but I don’t have a heart so I would be dilating her. Just overall a Very disappointing experience for me. The employee who checked me out was very rude, I explained to her I do not pay out of pocket and she just repeated the fee amount. I asked her to double check and she said she was sure.When I got in the car I called BCBS and they confirmed I should not have paid out of pocket. Then, dealing with the billing dept after that was a nightmare. Location is convenient and the building is beautiful, unfortunately though I will never go back.

The doctors and nurses are fantastic, however the insurance/billing/office management is atrocious. They have owed me almost $200 for 6 months now. A friend of mine received a bill in the mail a month after their appointment. They want your money, even when it doesn’t belong to them. If you owe them they’ll send you to collections. Perhaps I should just contact the BBB.
