Me and my family have been to Palmer golf course many times over the past couple of years, However today with one of those days that was not such a good experience. I had scheduled a tee time for 1240 for me and my three sons. The guy at the front desk started off being rude right from the start to me, and then when my boys came in one by one to pay, he told them each how they were late and needed to hurry up and get out on the course. The boys showed up at about 12:30 PM. Still gives them enough time. After we get going and we are on hole one, the course marshal comes driving up to me and one of my sons really quickly, like it’s an emergency or something only to tell my son that he wasn’t allowed to play because he did not have a set of clubs. Granite my son did not have a set of clubs, he was using mine plus his brothers. The point was he’s played that course more than one time without clubs and I’ve seen other players on the course without a set of clubs. I felt disrespected and told that I had to go back to the clubhouse so that we can rent a set of clubs for my sonWe did go to the clubhouse and soon as we got to the clubhouse the lady who was working inside the clubhouse was already outside waiting on us- telling us that it was no big deal, that it was a misunderstanding and that we were holding up people was the problem, which I don’t think we were doing either. Anyway she told us don’t worry about it and keep playing. We continued to play and completed 16 holes of golf.I was going to go into the clubhouse and complain, however, I decided not to. But I decided to just put this out there because of how we felt that we were treated in this volatile time with racial tensions in the World and especially the Palmer community. Me and my family have lived in this community for over 30 years and all of our boys have graduated from Palmer High. Our business (Daybreak Inc) also contributes and participates, every year to the Palmer golf course tournament that happens in June or July. So I just want to be to be treated like everyone else.Thank you,
