If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! The staff is awesome, the place has pretty much everything, and the lines are always reasonable.I’ve read a lot of bad stuff about the front counter staff, the truth of the matter is, if you’re nice to them, they are nice to you. By the same token, if you’re going to be rude, they, specifically one, will call you on your attitude and put you in your place.That one lady is my favorite and watching her put those entitled, rude, obnoxious, customers in their place always puts a giant smile on my face.Love the store and hope to continue shopping here for a very long time.

Southland (Do It Best) Hardware on Westheimer is one of my favorite independently owned hardware stores in Houston.I really like their selection of pocket knives. They have a wide range of products for all the building trades. You can buy 1/4 pound of nails without having to buy a whole one pound box. They sell chain by the foot. There is a sharpening service for saws, knives, garden tools, scissors, etc.Prices are reasonable. You can walk into the store and find what you need in a few minutes without having to walk a mile. Store associates are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
