This morning I walked happily to the UPS store; it was raining a little, but I had my umbrella. I need to overnight a package to my brother. Upon arrival, I was turned away from The UPS Store simply because I was not wearing a mask. The store had one other customer, and the checkouts are well-over 6 feet apart. The date is May 1, 2021. I have not worn in mask anywhere except where mandated at work for months. I completely respect and understand that some people do not feel comfortable without masks, and I have no problem allowing those people to wear a mask. I do not need a UPS employee to disregard my right not to wear a mask. I will find a place that reflects the principles the US was founded on and do my service there.

I am always glad to do business with this UPS store. They have everything I need on site, helpful staff, and a handy location. During Covid they have been particularly helpful as a safe space that follows CDC guidelines. It is good to know they value their customers’ safety. This is a business that is consistently excellent.
