Bath and Body Works online returns policy indicates: “ONLINE PURCHASE RETURN OPTIONS We just want you to love it! Return anything, anytime for any reason. 100% Guaranteed.”However, I guess the cashier at Bath and Body Works at Mall Del Norte in Laredo,TX is not aware of this policy. This is the second time I try to return candles I purchased online, and return in-store. The cashier asked why I was returning, and I informed her I didn’t like the scent upon arrival. She asked if I had burned them and I replied I had not. She then states, “well let me see if I can make the return”. She then proceeds to tell me that I can only get store credit. I immediately asked why, but she doesn’t reply. She continues “checking” the system with a number she finds on my online receipt. She finally tells me she can refund me in cash, and proceeds to do so. This is extremely disappointing. The cashiers should be trained and made aware of their companies’ return policy. Now I will be reluctant to purchase any additional items from Bath and Body Works.
