We were in Abilene for a state pageant. We ate there after awards Sunday afternoon. Minimal wait time. The staff and employees were wonderful and attentive. Food was SPECTACULAR. My husband and I both ordered steaks & were served a perfect medium. The kids enjoyed Mac and cheese, mini burgers and a veggie plate ! Of course we purchased a few items from the gift shop. The displays were summer and patriotic.

Nobody at the counter! Nobody at hostess stand and the manager unwilling dragged himself slowly to seat 1 person and dissappeared for a few minutes after which I abandoned my quest to eat here. If you read my reviews of other Cracker Barrel establishments you will see some get 4 stars and some dont. In this case, not even being able to get seated should rank this store for zero stars but the app wont let me select zero stars. My desire if for leadership at corporate to take notice , get on a plane do a full investigation and implement some meaningful changes to this store and restore it back to level that has made Cracker Barrell famous, ie good food and great service.

They absolutely have some of the best pancakes! They have crispy edges just like grandma used to make them. And then they also serve them with a warmed bottle of male syrup. You can’t beat that! When traveling across country we were still able to enjoy the lightly crisped edged pancakes too! Thank you for being consistent with the recipe and the delicious pancakes cooked like grandma makes them.
