Learned so much about pen making with Chuck at the Woodcraft Plano location. Instruction was well taught, organized, and hands-on. I highly recommend this class if your interested in making a custom pen or want to learn to make pens as a craft/hobby.

Lots of tools and a nice selection of exotic woods! The staff was helpful when I needed help. Their prices compare with competitors so it’s nice to be able to swing by and pick up what I need rather than having to order it online! Clean store and parking is easy.

I’m new to woodcarving, and needed a better knife (knives). I found this place through maps and thank the devil- they have everything I could need as a beginner.I spoke with Paul and asked him about what I THOUGHT I needed- a decent beginner’s kit. He steered me away from the expensive kits and instead suggested a single knife and a strop, even giving me a quick lesson in their use that was more effective than all of the YouTube videos I watched. They also have classes, which aren’t terribly expensive considering they usually provide materials, and in some cases the tools themselves.Highly recommend!
