Stayed in the permanent ‘wall tent’ in the primitive campground up the road from the improved campground. Fantastic and roomy, if you don’t want to fool with setting up your own tent. And they let you have access to the super nice bath houses in the improved site. There’s a bit of a rough drive to get to it on a rocky gravel road but just go slow and you’ll be fine. The wall tent is easily big enough for 4 people.

Awesome campsites! Best we’ve seen after visiting 7 AL State parks. Lots of great hiking trails with waterfalls to see. We’ll be back!

The campground is clean and well maintained. There are many hiking trails around the campground. A cable TV connection is available at the full hook up sites. Wildlife and beautiful scenery are abundant around the campground. The sites are not cramped. Most sites had adequate real estate in between them. Fire rings and grills appeared to be available at each site.
