I have become basically vegetarian the last few years. But I’ve always loved Chris’ Hot Dogs. I went with my sister and family and ordered 2 hot dogs and onion rings. I gave the wieners to my brother in law and ate the fully loaded buns with extra sauce. It was delicious. My only suggestion would be to offer a vegetarian option on the menu.

This is a must stop if you’re going through Montgomery. I was in town and wanted something local to try. I’m very happy I found this place. I had one of the best hotdogs I’ve ever had in my life so far. The chili and onion rings were delicious as well. I can see why this place has been open for a 100+ years. I will be back many times.

Chris’ Hot Dogs is a vivid portrait of the past that remains relevant in today’s world. This was my first visit, but not my last. The hotdogs are classic fare with a housemade chili that is unforgettable. The housemade onion rings are a gift from the onion ring gods. They a surely what onion rings are supposed to be in every way. Its hard to find good onion rings, but they’re in Montgomery, AL. Another real treat was that the owner was on premises, greeting customers, serving and being involved in the day to day.
