Rented light duty tiller, got it home and the depth set bar on the rear of the unit fell out on the ground. Picked it up, upon inspection saw duct tape wrapped around it from a previous renter not owning up to mistakes made. My wife called and told them the issue. I took dates and timed pictures so hopefully not get blamed. Returned the unit less than two hours after pick up. The initial guys that I spoke with (very professional and nice) had me speak with the manager to tell him what had happened so I could get a refund. Manager tommy immediately tried to make it seem like it was my doing. Asked why it took me so long to bring it back, and why I didn’t call before hand to let them know (which I did) but of course they had no recall of that. He then said I should have asked who I was speaking with and blah blah. Listen, I took all available avenues to make sure I did the right thing. Didnt want to be a turd like the last guy and put a duct taped bandage on something knowing full well there’s not enough accountability in staff to properly put something back into inventory and inspect all working parts. And then to add insult to injury get blamed and have to deal with crappy attitudes when going through a refund process for a piece of equipment I never got to use. NEVER RENTING HERE AGAIN. GOIN LOCAL!
