High Peaks Cyclery was established in 1983 as one of the original multi-sport stores in Lake Placid and the Adirondack Park. We sell/service/rent nearly all outdoor activities our beautiful region has to offer. Biking, running, triathlon, hiking, rock climbing, backpacking, canoe/kayak/stand up paddleboard, camping, nordic skiing, alpine touring/telemark skiing, ice climbing, and general sport apparel. We try to bring in the best brands and items for you to enjoy the outdoors, such as Arcteryx, Patagonia, Outdoor Research, Maloja, Salomon, DPS, Giant Bicycles, Yeti Cycles, Salsa Cycles, and many, many more. We took a family “fat tire bike tour” and could not be more impressed! The staff was awesome with us – ensuring each bike was the perfect fit. We were thrilled to have a private group tour with Trevor as our guide! He was knowledgeable, patient and friendly! I highly recommend this business and will be coming back for future bookings. I needed a dropper post installed on my new Giant Stance 29 and the team at High Peaks did a fantastic job! I called and spoke with Gray first thing in the morning, and not only did he have the part but he was able to quickly install it for me that day. Great experience and top quality service. These guys are fantastic. 3 times in one day they rescued and fixed my friends broken bike. Because of them we were able to ride the course we came to placid to train on. Highly recommend this shop. Plus the inventory is crazy, swimming, fishing, camping, biking, and running needs!
