I moved into a new house in East Amherst, NY in 1994 and needed furniture to furnish the place. I bought a dinette set (with four chairs), foyer side table with mirror, living room coffee table- all hand made by George Theo, owner of the place. The furniture was beautiful, made of hard wood and looked stunning. At that time, it was a small business with a retail store in Amherst NY. George won over my wife with his excellent craftsmanship and charm. We ended up also buying a dinning room set from his place. In 2001, when we were moving from Upstate New York to west coast, I stopped by his place in Jamestown and ended up buying two wooden chairs, and two stools- all made in his factory. Close to 25 years have passed, and lot of Made in China furniture has come and left our house, but ALL of George’s furniture is still with us and in excellent condition. We got the dinette set professionally spray painted last week, and it looks as good as it was when new. I can’t say anything more than this. This business is a real American treasure.
