These predatory dealerships will take your whole income tax and stimulus check, then turn around and take their “lemon” back if you are a day late and a dollar short!And charge you $400-$500 a month for a car they bought at the auction for $500. This is insanity and financial suicide! People WAKE UP and stop getting USED UP! I had to share this knowledge….hopefully someone will take it to heart and do better! When you know better, do better!A friend had this experience with Sully’s right here in Lufkin and I really feel sad for her and so many others just like her!Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) dealerships typically finance used auto loans in-house to borrowers with no or poor credit histories. The average APR is much higher than a bank or credit union loan. BHPH dealers expect much higher default and repossession rates. Instead of responsibly financing affordable cars, the business model depends on churning the same vehicles (many would be classified as “lemons”) to local buyers as many times as possible.Dealers usually require a disproportionate percentage of the car’s actual value for downpayment and pack the loan with unnecessary fees to make more money up front.DO NOT DEAL WITH SULLY’S Auto Sales. I came here 3 years ago, I didn’t have a car. I was unfamiliar with Sully’s Auto or Lufkin. I really didn’t want to go to a Buy here Pay here Dealership! But the circumstances at the time weren’t in my favor. I can only share my experience! For the most part I dealt with Judy. Periodically I would speak with some of the other ladies who answered the phone to take my payments. They were always willing to help me.I became familiar with Judy! She was AWESOME, she was ALWAYS courteous and pleasant to talk too!In May of 2019 unexpectedly I ended up in the hospital, I had no family here!Needless to say it was beyond difficult!When Judy found out she called to check on me! What company representative does that! Prior to this, I tried to keep up with my payments. But when I went in the hospital, I undoubtably ran into some issues. I tried to be honest and up front with her, and she worked with me! A couple of months ago I PAID MY CAR COMPLETELY OFF! We all run intoproblems because I certainly did! I want to Thank Sully’s Auto for giving me an opportunity to purchase a car ( which I Love) from them! And Judy, in my opinion you Represented Sully’s Auto very well!
