Over the course of about a year, we have come through this sonic about 5-6 times because my wife likes the ice cream. Every time we have ordered food it has been horribly over cooked or even cold when we get it after relatively long waits. One time we had to wait 30 minutes and go and knock on the door to get hour blasts we ordered. This last time takes the cake for my patience’s. We ordered a sundae and a blast on the mobile checked in and waited. After about 25 minutes I click the button and wait about 5 minutes for a response which I can understand lack of staffing but still at this point I am past annoyed. The manager finally comes out and tell us that our order was refunded because they were out of ice cream and the car hop forgot to tell us. No apology, just a whatever kinda attitude. As a previous fast food manager, I would personally have refunded and gone to apologize for an inconvenience not leave someone waiting and then just act like I’m inconveniencing him. Sonic has great food I know first hand from one on my way to work but this local Athens sonic may as well just close it isn’t worth the price it probably took to build it.

I had their Strawberry Cheesecake Shake. It Was Killer. Get it, enjoy it. There wasn’t really enough interaction to warrant a 5th star, but I didn’t have any reason to dock em a star. Keep doing good work you guys.

Went at 10:45pm to the drive thru and had to sit for 5 minutes before they said anything. When I was asked what I wanted I said a large shake, but apparently they close their ice cream machine down an hour before their closing time. Their biggest seller and they don’t sell it with an hr and 15 minutes till they close. I get it if it was 15 minutes before closing but not an hour ahead. Ridiculous. Extremely disappointed. Trash customer service and worst experience I’ve had at any sonic.
