Christina M was awesome! I came in by myself a couple months ago on my way back to Austin from Fredericksburg. A good friend recommended I stop here for the chicken fried steak. It absolutely did not disappoint! And Christina took awesome care of me, and came by at exactly the right timing. She even got me all set up with Togo stuff for my drive back, too. Might be worth taking a day trip to drive the hour back over here again sometime!

Make sure you call them when you are in the parking lot to come get you.Most places take a while getting you your food after trying to upsell you to death and then rush you out. Not here. They take your order quickly, get your food quickly, and they don’t hover annoyingly. They leave you in peace to enjoy your food and conversation. If you need anything, though, they are right there. They don’t even have the loud music that so many places play for atmosphere/getting you out of there quickly. We didn’t stay for long but the lack if pushing made for a relaxing meal.The fried green tomatoes were excellent and the grilled cheese was more of a grilled cheese and other items that you never knew you needed on a grilled cheese sandwich but really needed. It was a great lunch stop and I plan on going back next time I am passing through the area.
