It was a great experience and I got what I thought was a fair price. It was below the offer I was emailed, but above what I expected. The overall sense of the transaction beat the hell out going to a dealer for a trade-in, no haggling or pressure. My only negative comment is that it took 2 hours 14 minutes, way too long!

I’d never been to CarMax but we needed somewhere to sell my old jeep which wasn’t dying and I just wanted to get rid of it. CarMax was very fair and easy to deal with. I came early before my scheduled appointment to appraise my car and they were able to take me early. Facility is very clean and brightly lit. I received a check for my car that day! Employees were very friendly and easy to work with.
