Visited the museum for the first time (2 months ago.) Definitely worth the hour and a half drive. The traffic on the way there, not a big fan. But the museum and what it encloses was well worth it. So much history and amazing artifacts from the past. I encourage you to check it out for yourself.

This museum is built inside the first library of Modesto. A great place to learn about the history of Modesto itself and the surrounding California Central Valley.

We absolutely loved all the fabulous displays they had. My son loved the military display, but had to correct them on one item they had saying it wasn’t used in Vietnam but that it was much newer and should be marked Operation Iraqi Freedom era is the year 2000 or better. I just smiled. He is so good about anything military no matter what it is..always has been and he’s just 18.The video I took was of their amazing button collection and it was for my neighbor that also collects button. But it won’t let me post that. Just a few small item pics I took. I wish I had taken more photos of the displays, but definitely worth the visit!
