Equator Coffees

  4.6 – 387 reviews  $$ • Coffee shop

Our flagship cafe is perfectly situated in the heart of downtown Mill Valley. The cafe vibe is laid back with casual outdoor and indoor seating and a fresh menu of made-to-order sweet and savory waffles, salads, and egg sandwiches. Mill Valley’s history runs through the cafe, from its rich coffee roots to the salvaged railroad ties and bicycle parts used to create its patio furniture. Sip a cappuccino or a glass of wine. Throw back a double macchiato or a pint of beer. You’ll find yourself coming back for more.

Hip local coffeehouse chain serving single-origin coffee, tea & light eats.

My main problem with this place, and all Equator locations is the price.

Kind and friendly staff. Decent prices. We tried their baked goods… an assortment of cookies, scones, and croissants. All were delicious. COVID procedure is convenient — order at a window, they will bring out your order and call your name. Seems like a fairly popular place in Mill Valley, but also seems like one of the only games in town for these types of items. You can also buy their coffee beans in the local grocery store down the street.

Good, polite service. Indoor and outdoor ambiance. We got a free lemon bread cuz they ran out and it was dry. I’d recommend coming here.

This equator coffee seems to me a better one than some other locations I have visited. Better service – orders for pick up are nicely placed on a long counter. Better location–next to the big plaza with lots of seatings and a lively urban vibe.I had a breakfast frittata sandwich and it turned out better than I expected. Bread was warm and smells fantastic, avocado was fresh and sauce was tasty; although scrambled or fried egg would be better than frittata which feels more processed.
