The owners of this rug store are friendly and love rugs. When you walk in, they get to know you and figure out what you like by showing you all sorts of rugs without pressuring you to buy something. Sometimes, they’re busy with other customers, and they don’t mind at all if you wander around and take pictures, look and touch very expensive rugs hung on the wall. They usually have some rugs spread out that customers are looking at and I can tell these are high quality Persian rugs.The main owner, Jason will show you why you can’t just buy a rug based on size or knot count. There’s the location it comes from, condition, age, material, and the artistic merit of a rug. Sometimes, he’s more interested in teaching you about rugs and talking about all the regions in Persia/Iran than in selling. He’s very generous about taking rugs home on approval so that you can look at it and think about it before buying. He also gives you a fair price and doesn’t play games, such as marking up a rug 10x and then giving you a one-time-special discount while you’re walking out the door. What he’s most interested in is that you are happy and love your rugs.You don’t have to spend a lot on a rug you’ll like. I went and bought Christmas presents this week. A beautiful rug is a timeless gift, unlike the latest electronics that will be obsolete in a year or two. I told Jason my price range, and he helpfully pulled rugs until I found the individualized gifts I wanted for each person. He ended up making me good deals because my tastes are higher than my budget!Thanks for such a wonderful shopping experience and education about Persian rugs.
