This place is amazing . I came here after years of not using my bicycle. The guy who helped me was amazing. He had a long conversation about how to properly take care of my bicycle. I took his recommendations for repairs on my bike and fully trusted him . I will definitely continue to come here. Its also pretty cool to see their little dog hang out at the shop

I was going downtown to get some pants altered at Mike’s Tailor Shop on Main Street (Great tailor shop BTW). When I looked online for their hours, I noticed a bike shop right next door in one of the photos. My bike needed some adjustments, so I thought I could deal with my pants and bike at the same time.Wow! What a find! The other reviews were spot on. This is an old school, family-owned bike shop that has been in the same place for over 20 years! They have been an integral part of the downtown bike scene for many years. When I called, I was quoted a price for the adjustments. I thought the gentlemen misunderstood what I was asking. When I got there and explained what I wanted, it was the same price. I used another downtown bike shop recently. I was given a different price when I got there. As with many small businesses, small bike shops like these are struggling to stay in business. If you are in the area and need parts, a lock, a tune-up or a complete overhaul, El Maestro is the place to go. They are friendly and knowledgeable. Support small businesses like this.

So, I had a problem on my bike hanger for the derailleur. I took the bike to many bikeshops and couldn’t get a problem solver until this bikeshop. The owner installed a new hanger with a derailleur and its back to working so its a great shop for good quality
