Great shop! Bought a new bike there recently. Super knowledgeable and attentive staff. Didn’t have an appointment but the shop owner Elon helped me out anyway. Definitely recommend, Giant might not have the same clout as some of the brands, but their bikes are super well designed and quality is on par or even better. My Trance Advanced Pro 1 is easily the best bike I’ve ever ridden, and I’ve owned many, and have been riding for 25 years.

I should have written this review months ago. Giant Santa Monica is a one of a kind shop. The employees that work here all care and truly try to go above and beyond. I went in the early part of summer while inventory was super light due to COVID. They said they did not have a Mountain bike in stock in a size large. Elon went to work and within days found the perfect bike! When selecting components and equipment for the bike, you get very straight answers and not at all based on price. Many times I had to be talked into getting less expensive components for my riding style. This really means a lot.A few months later on a trip to ride MTN bikes in Park City, UT our bikes were stollen when we stopped in Las Vegas from the rack of our car. They cut through 3 bike locks and took two bikes. I called Elon not sure what to do. Bike inventory was pretty much non-existent and I was not sure that he could possibly help. He went above and beyond and called the bike manufacturer, Scott, that has a HQ in Ogden, UT, 45 minutes away. Within two days he found the perfect replacement bikes. I later picked them up at a local bike store… He could have easily run the sale through his shop but instead said Buy Local it is super important to have a local shop as we have a vacation home in Park City. That speaks volumes!I since have purchased three more bikes from Giant Santa Monica and I can not express what a wonderful team and experience I have had. Willie, Larry and Elon are all truly wonderful.

To all the lucky people that have received five star service from this shop, I congratulate you. Both times I have been here the staff were very rude, unwelcoming and arrogant. I went a couple weeks ago with cash in hand to purchase a new bike and the fellow who was in the front wouldn’t even let me inside the store. I understand it’s by appointment only, but the store was empty. I know Giant makes great bikes and if I ever decide to purchase another one it will not be from this shop.
