Beautiful ambiance, good wine selection. General store is lacking though. Still, a must stop on PCH

Good wine located right on the beach. What’s not to love! The people are attentive.

We stopped at the Hearst Winery while on our way down the 1, and also checked out the campgrounds to the south but this review focuses on the winery. At the winery, we were greeted by the most friendly host! Although there were no wine tastings, due to covid, we roamed around the spacious, historical warehouse and left with a bottle of delicious white wine, cheese and salami. Even despite the protocols, the stop was worth it, as we just took our goodies a little further south by the campgrounds and enjoyed a picnic on a log at the beach. It was magical because no one was around, doubt it’ll always be this nice! We only wish the gentleman running the show could see our smiles behind the masks. Can’t wait to return!

Sipping wine with a view of the ocean and the sound of crashing waves in the background…it really doesn’t get better than this! And, they are not just hanging their hat on the awesome location, the wines are great and the staff is very attentive. What a lovely experience!
