This Vons does not follow the CDC or the CDPH guidelines regarding wearing a mask. I was at the store yesterday around 7:43pm and I was checking out with Rosabel who was just great. However the young man at the bagging section immediately demanded me to wear a mask. He was extremely irate and very adamant I wear this cloth mask. I explained how I was vaccinated and the fact that I have a serious medical condition and am exempt. He still disregarded my medical condition and I explained I have severe asthma and wearing a mask can cause serious damage to my health and I am medically exempt from any mask mandate. He insisted all his friends with asthma still wear a mask. Now we are entering discrimination to someone with a disability since I also suffer from a mental health disability.I have two different legal grounds that enforce any business to comply with my medical condition. To discriminate, harass and belittle my medical condition as an employee of Vons I need the general manager to contact me immediately. Also, this gentleman threatened me to never come back. I must make aware my cashier was completely fine with me not wearing a mask while she had her mask on behind a large piece of plastic. Someone needs to reach me ASAP to discuss ramifications internally before I have to move this into a legal matter which fortunately I have all documented via body cam video.

A nice grocery store with a decent deli and nice produce. I was looking for egg roll wrappers and had some trouble finding them, but I asked the lady at the customer service counter and she lead me right to them. It was around 11am and everyone was very busy stocking the shelves and it’s good to know that they put fresh items out regularly. Thumbs up!

Got my first vaccine and the pharmacy staff from the lady who checked me in, to the pharmacist administering this shot were very soothing, for lack of a better word. I was nervous when I got there but by the end of the 15 minute waiting period I was as relaxed as if it never happened.I appreciated the way they treated me and the others in my vaccine group. I saw for the first time how important these people are and how lucky Von’s is to have them working at their store.
