Soo I came here with my boyfriend and his brother looking for a beginner board. All I have to say is terrible. During the pandemic I wanted to get some practice being in the water because I’m from NYC and have no experience surfing ever. We pick out one I like and then proceed to purchase it. We ask Malery if the board is supposed to come with fins, she said yes but we don’t have any. She then refers us to another shop in the same shopping center so we go there. Upon arrival the person tells us that they don’t have it either BUT tells us we should have gotten the fin or just not have gotten the board. We all look at each other like you’re right, not knowing these fins are $45. So at that point, we are like why did we pay full price and not receive some kind of discount for a part we never received. Upon returning back to the original store we speak to Malery and because of COVID we can’t return it so we are looking for some type of small reimbursement. She refers us to her manager Corey. Terrible. Doesn’t even apologize for anything, suddenly goes to “check what they have in the back” and magically it appears. My boyfriend was going to say thank you for that but the manager was so rude that mid thank you said “here you go” and walked away. What kind of customer service is that?? Terrible experience. Don’t go here they’re so rude to you unless you look like everyone that lives in that area.

I Purchased a bodyboard/surfboard from this place today on 10/5/20 and was told that there was no fins available. Being that this was my first purchase, I was not aware that these boards are supposed to come with fins. Malary the employee that helped me suggested to “check out” the other surf shop a few stores away. Which I recommend 100%. I went to the other shop and was told that the board is supposed to come with fins and that if they don’t have any then I should not have payed full price and should return the item. Upon hearing this not only was I a little upset but confused. I went back to Becker and spoke to a different female employee, I explained to her what happened. She came back and told me the same thing as Malary. After telling me this, I told her this is unacceptable considering I paid full price for an item that was not even complete. Malary came back and then got the manager after I told her that I should not pay full price for an item that has missing things. Corey the manager came and asked what the problem was. I explained to him the same thing as Malary and the other employee. Mid explanation Corey walked away from me. Anybody who is a manager knows not to walk away when a customer is explaining something to them in a reasonable tone. Corey proceeded to leave and to everyone’s surprise the fins magically appeared. WHY did I have to come back after going to a different surf shop And learning that I am supposed to get items that I paid for regardless if they are in stock or not. If they are not in stock then I should not pay full price. I would not recommend this store to anybody I know.
