I waited a while to post this review because I wanted to see if the camera I chose was a great fit for me, and I am pessimistic, picky person. Hundreds of photos later, I am a happy camper. Sean, the employee who helped me out, was extra helpful in helping me find a camera that fits my needs. He spent time assessing the demands with which I have to work and what I valued in a camera. His insight was very much needed.I wasted so much time trying to find the perfect camera for me online – don’t make that mistake. Go to San Jose Camera and have someone help find the right fit for you. It will make a difference, I promise! Choosing a camera is like choosing a life partner: some look great on paper, but aren’t a good match!

The trade-in process was very easy and they paid almost the same as what I could sell privately but without the risk and hassle. They also give 15% extra for trade in if you want store credit. I will definitely shop here more instead of big chains.

Had a great experience at San Jose Camera & Video. The staff is informed and helpful. I made a few purchases, and had my older Canon camera which malfunctioned brought back into working order. If I lived in the South Bay Area and I had camera issues or wanted to purchase equipment, I would return to this shop.
