For almost 90 years The Model Bakery has been a Napa Valley mainstay, offering the best breads, pastries and coffee. Model Bakery is most famously known for their English Muffins which have been featured on Oprah’s Favorite Things List three years in a row! It all began at the flagship Main Street location in St. Helena, then branched out to the Oxbow Public Market in Napa and is now operating in the newly opened Mini Model in Yountville.

The Almond Croissant was very flaky and delicious! The English muffin with butter and jam was absolutely amazing, no wonder Oprah likes it so much! It has the taste of an English Muffin, but the crispiness and flakiness of a croissant. Also tasted the breakfast sandwich with ham, cheddar cheese and scrambled eggs – very fresh and the bread was nice and chewy. The chai also was really delicious.

Best English muffin breakfast sandwich. However, there’s no way around it, the way the eggs were cooked was OK (well-done but for eggs), but the bacon was solid. The other pastries (we tried the croissants & cookies) there can range from great to okay depending on how early you arrive.It’s a very good bakery in a nice part of town where you can take it to the nearby park to enjoy. Definitely recommend going here at least once for the breakfast sandwich, you can’t beat that homemade English muffin.
