Staples is just another Big Box retailer, just that they sell office supplies instead of mattresses or TV’s. In other words, the staffing levels are the same here as just about everywhere else.I give ’em five stars because: 1) They always have everything I need for my office; 2) Their Printing Center is slightly more accessible than that at FedexKinko’s; and 3) Their Computer Repair tech is superb–and cheaper than anywhere else in Marin.Oh, and 4), parking is always easy. They’re also a 3-minute walk from the Transit Center if you’re on foot or cycling.

This time in the San Rafael Staples my experience was better. While in the past I have always had poor customer service at this store, this time I was pleasantly surprised. A supervisor named Amir went above and beyond in helping me locate a new ribbon for a ten key adding, putting it in the machine and testing it for me. I had been in Office Depot and asked a sales associate about his and he had said he wasn’t sure if the ribbon they had was the correct one.
